Privacy Policy — Sidetake

Sidetake (“Sidetake”, “we”, “our”) provides a mobile application that lets users browse mentors from many industries, view their processes and workflows, and book one-to-one mentor sessions. This policy explains what information the app handles.

1. Information we collect

Sidetake does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details to use the app. Your preferences, session notes, and in-app activity are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

2. Tracking and analytics

Sidetake does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising.

3. Third-party services

The app does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

4. Data storage and deletion

Because your preferences, session notes, and in-app activity live only on your device, you are always in control of them. Deleting the app from your device permanently removes this data. There is no copy held on our servers, so there is nothing further you need to ask us to delete.

5. Our website

If you join the waitlist on sidetake.com, you share an email address and the handle you would like to reserve. We use this information only to hold your handle and to contact you about Sidetake’s launch and early access. Waitlist submissions are processed by our form provider on our behalf. We never sell this information, and you can ask us to remove it at any time by emailing hemang@sidetake.com.

6. Security

Keeping your data on your device, rather than on our servers, is itself our most important security measure — information that is never transmitted cannot be intercepted or breached on our end. If you believe you have found a security issue in the app or on our website, please write to us and we will look into it promptly.

7. Children

Sidetake is intended for users aged 13 and over and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, with the date of the last revision shown above. If a future version of the app ever changes how we handle your information, we will update this policy before that change takes effect.
